To err is human, and until infallible robots take over – there will be minor snafus on the race officials’ part. The United Regatta’s Race Committee did an outstanding job! With a small exception – they have somehow missed one yacht crossing the finish line. As a result, the podium places in the 1st Division (Non-Spinnaker, 20 nm) were initially awarded in a wrong order, but it was promptly corrected in the official United Regatta results.
The boat is V&P, skippered by our good friend Marek Kurek. Let’s just say – V&P is fast, and the Race Committee did not expect anyone to fly across the finish line so quick. Mr. Kurek, you, sir, are a class act, and a true gentleman. Congratulations to your crew on a well-deserved 1st place in the 1st Division of the 1st United Regatta!
